Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance (MA) Whether you plan to manage investment portfolios, design a government's trade policies, or oversee a company's finances, you will need to understand the forces that drive the global economy and the operations of capital markets. The Brandeis IBS Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance (MA) degree addresses these needs by combining a rigorous quantitative curriculum with real-world preparation. Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) The Master of Science in Business Analytics degree offers a 12 or 16 month program which combines data analytics and related programming courses with training in finance, marketing and business dynamics. Students will graduate with an understanding of statistical, programming, data visualization and econometric methods of analyzing data in order to make economic, financial and business decisions. Master of Science in Finance (MSF) If you're considering a master's degree, finance is an in-demand and highly marketable focus area. As you read this, you might be in Boston, Brussels, or Beijing – or anywhere in between. Perhaps you're in the early stages of a finance career, are about to complete your undergraduate studies, or are interested in a career change. You may be preparing for the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) exam, or simply thinking about harnessing your keen interest in financial theory, global markets, and financial analysis and strategy. PhD in International Economics and Finance Our PhD program focuses on developing vital research, teaching, high-level policy making, and consulting skills. The Brandeis IBS PhD program is distinguished by its international economics and finance orientation as well as its corresponding focus on practical applications in policy and business. The PhD program’s core courses are similar to those of a rigorous economics degree but its electives target the practical skills rather than theory. Students have the opportunity to conduct research abroad as well as participate in seminars and research projects not only at Brandeis, but at other institutions in the Boston area.
