Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management combines the resources of a large university with small class sizes and highly individualized attention to offer students the best possible learning experience. Full-time MS students can select from the following degree focal areas: Professional Accounting, Business Analytics (STEM designated), Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises, Finance (STEM designated), Marketing (STEM designated), and Supply Chain Management (STEM designated). In addition to full-time programs, Whitman provides top-ranked online programs.These programs, along with faculty, staff, over 4,000 students, and an alumni network comprising nearly 30,000 Whitman grads, are the foundation of the Whitman School. History At the Whitman School, students learn, intern, participate in community service and advance their careers through a full spectrum of field-focused and multidisciplinary departments in one of the nation’s oldest business schools. The Whitman School, formally the College of Business Administration, was established in 1919. In 1920, it was only the 16th collegiate business school in the nation to be accredited by the AACSB. In 1948, the school launched its MBA program and the doctoral program was created in 1965. The Whitman school has been a leader in education innovation and began offering a distance MBA in 1977.  The school was honored with a naming gift from Martin Whitman ’49, founder of Third Avenue Management, and Lois Whitman in 2003. Seeking to expand opportunities for students, the Whitman School opened its 160,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building in 2005. Today, Whitman programs serve as standards of excellence and achievement among the academic and business community.

Application Deadlines and Review Process:

Complete applications* must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time on the day of the deadline to receive notification by the date below. All mailed application material must be postmarked by the deadline date. It is always beneficial to apply before the posted deadline.*A complete application includes all supplemental materials including official test score reports.

This amount includes all expenses including tuition, books, fees, and living expenses for nine months (September through May), excluding travel costs to and from Syracuse. The amount of your tuition invoice will vary according to the number of credit hours for which you register.
